Trailfinder¶
If a Troop with Trailfinder would become Lost, move it to the nearest adjacent Troop card instead.
Rules¶
- Normally a Troop with no connection to any other card becomes Lost immediately, and stays out of the fight until the Attrition Phase.
- A Troop with Trailfinder instead relocates to the nearest Troop card it can reach, and remains in play.
- If multiple Troop cards are equidistant, the controlling player chooses.
- If there is no Troop card to move to, Trailfinder has no effect and the Troop becomes Lost normally.
Notes¶
Becoming Lost is expensive — 3 Provisions to recover, or the Troop goes back into your deck. Trailfinder sidesteps that entirely, which makes it quietly one of the most economical Quirks in the game for armies that get pulled apart by Shoving effects.
