Pike and Claw is a 2–4 player deckbuilding card battler built around area control and resource management. Players choose a faction, muster an army, and fight for control of the woodland.

About the game

Pike and Claw is set in Erda, a gritty woodland world in a Napoleonic, pike-and-shotte inspired era. Two powers contest the territories: the regimented Claw Empire, which rules by fealty and submission and seeks total control of the woodlands, and the motley Paw Coalition, which stands between the Empire and the free warrens. A third roster of Hirelings sells its services to either side.

Each player builds a deck from three card types — Troops who hold ground and fight, Gambits that provide one-off tactical swings, and Dwellings that generate resources and anchor territory. A turn runs through three phases: Muster, where players recruit and deploy; Warfare, where armies clash over contested territories; and Attrition, where upkeep is paid and losses are taken.

A game is won by one of three routes:

  • Supremacy Victory — control every Territory card in play and lead in Morale at the end of a turn
  • Attrition Victory — reduce an opponent to no cards and no playable troops
  • Objective Victory (advanced) — complete a set of Objective cards

A cooperative Campaign Mode adds persistent resources carried between sessions, missions and contracts that shape each scenario, and a shared AI opponent known as the Clockwork Enemy.
