Keywords
Keywords (also called Quirks) are special abilities that appear on cards. Some Quirks are temporary — the card will specify. Quirks can be negative as well as positive. Hover over any highlighted term in the rulebook for an inline definition.

| Shocked |
An un-provisioned Troop with Shocked flees the battlefield during the Attrition Phase, even if unwounded. Applied by the Paw Coalition's Rabble side. |
| Steadfast |
Morale cannot be modified negatively — including the un-provisioned penalty and the Shotte reload penalty. Usually temporary (X turns). |
| Shock-Charge (X) |
Usually on heavy cavalry. If the Troop it fights survives the Charge, that Troop's Morale is reduced by X. |
| Carnivore / Prey |
When played, target an enemy Troop as Prey and place a counter on it. Allied Carnivores deal +1 damage to Prey, and Prey has −1 Morale while adjacent to a Carnivore. |
| Citizen |
This Troop does not deal damage during a Charge declared by its own controller. |
| Off-Guard |
This Troop may not deal damage the turn it is played. |
